Jarrell Miller will face undefeated Cuban Lenier Pero in a WBA Heavyweight Title Eliminator on April 25 at the BleauLive Theater at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.
The winner will take a step toward a mandatory position for the WBA world title, currently held by unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk. Miller is coming off a split-decision victory over Kingsley Ibeh on January 31. Meanwhile, Pero is a 33-year-old southpaw who is currently ranked #2 by the WBA. He is a 2016 Olympian and two-time Pan American Games gold medalist. He is coming off back-to-back decision wins, most recently against Jordan Thompson in November 2025. The fight sees Miller work with Matchroom, despite Eddie Hearn previously claiming he would not do so when Miller failed multiple tests that led to the cancelation of an Anthony Joshua fight.
