Jean Pascal & Badou Jack Discuss June 6 Rematch On Mayweather-Paul Card

WBA (Regular) Light-Heavyweight Champion Jean Pascal and Badou Jack are ready to throw down a second time.

Back in December 2019, Pascal and Jack traded leather for 12 rounds. The bout was contested for Pascal’s WBA gold. Pascal ended up successfully retaining his gold via split decision.

The two will mix it up in the rematch on June 6. It’ll serve as the co-feature bout on the Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul card.

Ahead of fight night, both Pascal and Jack threw in their two cents. Pascal made it clear that he feels there’s no controversy surrounding their first encounter (h/t Bad Left Hook).

“I respect Badou, but he’s always whining after he loses. The judges said I won the fight and that’s it. The first fight, in the first six rounds I did everything well. I might have gotten a little overconfident. I took it a bit too easy after that. The fight got close because of that knockdown he got that wasn’t from a real punch. Without that, it wouldn’t have even been close.”

When it was Jack’s turn to speak, he expressed confidence in his ability to knock Pascal out.

“We have two judges for this fight: the right hand and the left hand. That’s it. I’m very confident for this fight and I’m not worried about the judges. I know Jean Pascal is a warrior, and I’m a warrior. I’m just ready to fight.”

Mayweather vs. Paul will air LIVE on Showtime PPV in the United States and on FIGHT SPORTS in over 50 countries. Check your local listings.
