Jermall Charlo Is Willing To Face Terence Crawford At 154
We can safely say that Terence Crawford (38-0, 29 KOs) is officially in Jermall Charlo’s (32-0, 22 KOs) head after recent developments.
The 32-year-old called out Charlo’s brother, Jermell, who doesn’t seem to be interested fighting the highly technical welterweight champion.
However, Jermall Charlo has stated that he wants to fight Crawford, and he will do everything to push himself down to 154 for this possibility. It would be an extremely bold move for Crawford to accept this this challenge against Jermall, who is bigger than his brother.
It remains to be seen whether Charlo is taking this fight against Crawford seriously or not. However, if the intentions are clean, we can expect fireworks in the ring.
On the other end, the 32-year-old knows that he will be up against probably the toughest opponent of his career.
Jermall hasn’t fought at 154 since his fifth-round knockout win over Julian ‘J-Rock’ Williams in December 2016.
When asked who wins between Errol Spence and Terence Crawford, Jermall said Spence.
“Y’all haven’t seen that Terence isn’t versatile like you think. Them Texas boys [Spence] are different. It’s hot in Texas. We’re different,” Charlo said to Showtime Boxing.
“All that don’t matter. It’s a fight; a fight is going to break out,” Charlo said regarding Crawford’s skills.
“Before I hang up the gloves, I want to go down as one of the greatest fighters that ever laced them up. I don’t care about being undefeated. I’m just undefeated.
“I get in there, and I fight, I get in there and train hard, and I just want to be one of the best professional athletes that I can be,” said Charlo.
