Jermall Charlo’s next WBC Middleweight Title defense is set.

Premier Boxing Champions has announced that Charlo and Juan Macias Montiel will collide on June 19. The title fight will take place in Houston. A venue has not been announced. The fight will air live on Showtime.

Charlo was last seen in action back in September 2020. He successfully defended his WBC gold against Sergiy Derevyanchenko. Charlo earned the victory via unanimous decision. Many believe Charlo found more success against Derevyanchenko than Gennady Golovkin and Daniel Jacobs did.

Up to this point, Charlo has amassed a pro boxing record of 31-0. He’s scored 22 knockouts along the way.

As for Montiel, his record stands at 22-4-1. All of Montiel’s victories have ended in a knockout. Of his four losses, the biggest one was against Jaime Munguia. Montiel was knocked out in that fight.
