Jermall Charlo will be coming home to Houston as he is set to defend his WBC Interim Middleweight Championship against Brandon Adams. The SHOWTIME-produced fight will be taking place inside NRH Stadium on June 29th.
The 28-year-old Charlo brother (28-0) won the title back in April of 2018, against Hugo Centeno Jr. and defended the belt against Matt Korobov back in December.
Adams (21-2) won the 2018 version of “The Contender” and has been on a roll since. He last fought in September, beating Shane Mosley Jr. via unanimous decision.
The Charlo v. Adams fight is part of a tripleheader card. The co-main event will be Erickson Lubin taking on Zakaria Attou in a WBC title elimination bout. SHOWTIME opens up with Eduardo Ramirez facing Claudio Marrero in a WBA featherweight title eliminator bout.
