During the face-off at Misfits Boxing 7, Joe Fournier pushed KSI to set up what will be an entertaining encounter for their upcoming fight on May 13th, 2023, at the at OVO Arena, London.
KSI has a perfect record of 4 wins, which includes a victory over Logan Paul. And he is hoping to go one better than his rival Jake Paul following the latter’s loss to Tommy Fury.
Meanwhile, Fournier has a professional record of 9 wins and no losses after making a successful return to boxing following a four-year hiatus by beating Reykon in his comeback fight.
And in order to hype up the hype, Fournier did his best to get under KSI’s skin. On April 5th, 2023, the pair confronted each other after the press conference, and following a prolonged exchange of insults, Fournier forcefully pushed KSI.
KSI was pushed back towards his team by Fournier, but they quickly calmed down and continued to pose and take photos for the media, as things could have easily escalated.
KSI’s Comments
“I felt like I needed to test myself. Jake Paul tested himself against Tommy Fury and failed. I want to be the one who succeeds.
“A lot of people think I’m going to get slept and I’m out of my depth and that I have no place to be fighting a 9-0 pro.
“But I am KSI, and I want to show the world that if you put your mind to something, you can do anything in this world.”
Fournier’s Comments
“I want to knock him out, clean, where he’s looking up at those lights at Wembley. I’m not doing it for the money, I’m doing it to hurt this guy, take his legacy and carry that through onto other fights.
“I want you to come out, swinging for the fences, and for us to have a proper scrap. I am coming to take the guy’s whole legacy and I will be the new face of Misfits Boxing,” Fournier
