Joe Rogan To Commentate For UFC 271
UFC fans will hear Joe Rogan from the commentary booth again.
Rogan will join Jon Anik and former two-division champion Daniel Cormier at the desk on Saturday at UFC 271. It will be the fourth consecutive pay-per-view event to feature Rogan after previously going MIA for events like UFC 251 and UFC 257.
Outside of UFC grounds, the veteran color commentator has started making headlines over the past few weeks for featuring guests who spoke about the Covid-19 pandemic on his Spotify podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience.”
Then a video was posted that showed him using a racial slur repeatedly on his podcast. The video was a compilation of multiple clips put in one video that he said was taken out of context. Rogan issued an apology describing it as regretful and shameful for even using those words in the first place.
The main event will feature an anticipated rematch between middleweight king Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker as Whittaker takes another crack of claiming Adesanya’s belt.
The co-main event will see Derrick Lewis’ return as he takes on Tai Tuivasa in front of a hometown crowd.
