Joe Rogan’s Intervention Raises Hopes Over Jon Jones UFC Return

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones is reconsidering his recent retirement and contract standoff with the UFC, following advice from commentator Joe Rogan.

The primary wedge between Jones and UFC CEO Dana White has been the fighter’s physical health. White publicly claimed that Jones’ career was over due to severe hip issues, which he used to justify why Jones was not booked for the June 14 Freedom 250 White House card.  Jones fired back on March 9, accusing the UFC of using his health as a negotiating tactic.

Jones revealed that he had been in “real negotiations” for the White House card but was “lowballed” with an offer far below his status. According to sources, Rogan reached out to Jones. Following Rogan’s advice, Jones underwent an intensive round of stem cell treatment in early March. Jones reportedly feels mobile enough to begin a full training camp for the second half of 2026.

“He doesn’t want to be done. He got stem sells on his hip, because I helped get it. He’s talked about, and I wouldnt’ve talked about it. He’s feeling a lot better. He still has arthritis in his hip, it bothers him, but it doesn’t bother him enough where he can’t fight,” Rogan said
