Johnny Case Reportedly Signs With The PFL

As the Professional Fighters League gears up for next season, there is one simple question: what other fighters will they pick up? Following the signing of Rory MacDonald to the welterweight division, Ray Sefo had a lot of thinking to do. It appears the PFL has a small idea of what they will be doing.

According to ESPN and Ariel Helwani, the PFL has signed Johnny Case to be a part of their lightweight division.

Case (27-7-1) has fought for the UFC and RIZIN from 2014 to now. He just competed in the Lightweight Grand Prix for RIZIN, beating Roberto de Souza in the quarterfinals back in October. Case’s six-fight unbeaten streak was snapped early yesterday morning (December 31st) at RIZIN 20 against eventual winner Tofiq Musayev. The 30-year-old was 5-0 with one draw.

An interesting tidbit: Case has a history with 2019 PFL Lightweight Tournament winner and Champion, Natan Schulte. Case and Schulte fought to a draw at PFL 9 in October. With Schulte reportedly coming back next season, there is sure to be a chance the two square off once again.
