Johnny Walker Targets Josh Hokit Ahead Of UFC Heavyweight Debut

Johnny Walker (22-10) seemingly has one opponent on his mind ahead of his move up to the heavyweight division next month.

The MMA striker has spent his time in the UFC at light heavyweight, scoring notable wins against Khalil Rountree Jr., Paul Craig, and Anthony Smith.

Walker makes his debut at heavyweight against Mick Parkin (10-1) on October 3 at UFC 332,  but is already looking ahead to a more high-profile bout for his second fight in the division, saying  “Anyone from five to ten is good, for me.” He added: “I would love top five and above,” and specially mentioned UFC’s sixth ranked heavyweight Josh Hokit as a potential target.

“Josh Hokit would be fun. He never fought somebody with my attributes. Feet, strong, and agile.”

The unbeaten former college football tight end Josh Hokit (10-0), who is one of the UFC’s most polarizing fighters, is coming off a round 2 stoppage win over Derrick Lewis at UFC Freedom 250, and does not yet have his next opponent lined up. We will see what Hokit’s response to Walker’s call-out will be, and if it will lead to a fight inside the Octagon.
