Johnson vs. Borg Cancelled

If Demetrious Johnson plans to break Anderson Silva’s title defense record, it appears he will have to wait.

MMAFighting reported late Friday night that Ray Borg has pulled out of his bout with Demetrious Johnson, which was set to headline UFC 215 on Saturday.

Borg has been battling an illness all week, and on Friday the UFC doctors deemed him unfit to compete.

The women’s bantamweight title fight between Amanda Nunes and Valentina Shevchenko will now headline UFC 215 in Edmonton.

The flyweight title fight between Johnson and Borg will reportedly be rescheduled as soon as possible, meaning the UFC will not attempt to find a short notice replacement to fight “Mighty Mouse” on Saturday.

Those who purchased tickets who are looking for a refund are being told to contact the point of purchase for their money back.
