Jon Jones Responds To Israel Adesanya Referencing His Mother

Jon Jones has reacted to Israel Adesanya’s personal dig at him, referencing his mother.

The animosity between Jones and Adesanya has reached a fever pitch. For about a year and a half, the two have been trading barbs. The situation has gone from being a competitive feud to getting personal.

Things took an ugly turn recently on social media. Jones questioned whether or not Adesanya’s own father believes he can beat him. “The Last Stylebender” responded by referencing Jones’ mother, who passed away in 2017.

“My pops already told me how I’d beat you. Trust me he knows. Your mom would be disappointed in who you’ve become.”

Jones took to his Twitter account to offer the following response to Adesanya.

“Izzy thanks for giving me the opportunity to highlight my amazing mother this afternoon, now I’m just missing her. Are we still on for 2021? Will fight me at any weight you said right? I called bullsh*t, I’m waiting for you. The world is waiting.”

Jones relinquished his UFC Light-Heavyweight Championship as he’s preparing to make the move up to the heavyweight division. As for Adesanya, he’s the reigning UFC Middleweight Champion. He’s fresh off a second-round TKO victory over Paulo Costa for his second successful title defense.
