Jon Jones Wants To Box Tyson Fury – ‘I’m Up For It’

Jon Jones, the UFC heavyweight champion, is willing to fight Tyson Fury in a crossover boxing event.

After Joe Rogan claimed that the UFC star would win in a no-rules fight with Fury, speculation about a crossover fight began.

Fury responded negatively, prompting Jones to ask for a fight to be arranged.

Fury later changed his stance and stated that he would only consider a boxing match, retracting his earlier statement.

Thereafter, UFC president Dana White put the ‘Gypsy King’ on notice by demanding that Fury get on the phone to make it happen.

And as part of that process, White highlighted his role in getting the crossover fight involving Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor over the line.

“If Tyson Fury really wants to fight Jon Jones in the UFC, I will make it happen. Here’s my thing: Right now, Tyson, if you’re serious, let me know.

“Tyson and I have a good relationship. I like Tyson Fury. We can talk all we want. Tyson can talk, Jon Jones can talk, I can talk, we can all talk. Let’s do it,” White

And now Jones has suggested a compromise by agreeing to Fury’s terms in wanting a boxing match.

That would put Fury as a heavy favorite, but a defeat would all but end the fear factor that has made him the formidable WBC champion. But for Jones, he is willing to risk it all.

“I would love it if Dana could make that fight happen. That’s one thing about the UFC, we always give the fans what they want to see.

“Tyson Fury is just such a magnificent opponent, and it would be awesome to make that fight happen. I’m up for it, and I’d even be willing to box him. Let’s see what happens,” White
