Jones-Smith Eyed For UFC 235

If Jon Jones is able to gain a license from the Nevada State Athletic Commission, he and Anthony Smith will headline UFC 235 in March.

Originally reported by TMZ, Dana White confirmed that the UFC planned on booking Smith and Jones in the UFC’s return to T-Mobile Arena on March 2nd.

Jones is still under investigation by the NSAC and has to appear before the adverse drug-test that forced UFC 232 from Nevada to California, where he would defeat Alexander Gustafsson via a third round TKO.

This will be the first title opportunity for Smith, who has won three straight fights since moving up to light heavyweight.

“He’s the best g*****n guy to ever fight, and regardless of what we say about him, I don’t think PEDs change that,” Smith said of Jones. “I think he’s the best fighter we’ve ever seen, regardless.”
