Jon Jones has often been called the only man who can beat Jon Jones — with evidence pointing to the two drug tests Jones has failed within about a years’ time.
Needless to say, neither failure sat well with UFC President Dana White, who cut off speaking terms with Jones following the first time Jones was flagged by USADA for a potential anti-doping violation. That occurred in July 2016, days prior to meeting Daniel Cormier in a light heavyweight title rematch.
The fight eventually happened the following year at UFC 214, with Jones winning back the title, but he failed another drug test. The length of Jones’ suspension, if any, is expected to be revealed later this month.
Meanwhile, White recently told TMZ Sports that he has finally started speaking to Jones once again. White says that Jones is focused on training and looking at the positives, while he admits that he wants Jones back in the UFC soon.
