Jones Would Rematch Santos On One Condition

For the first time in his career, Jon Jones would not sweep the scorecards, taking a majority decision win over Thiago Santos at UFC 239.

Santos would give Jones the toughest test since his return to the UFC after an 18 month suspension for testing positive for turinabol following a 2017 win over Daniel Cormier.

Even with that, and forcing Jones to ride out of the T-Mobile Arena in a wheelchair, Jones feels Santos will have to work his way back “up the ladder.”

“He can climb himself back up the ladder, there’s lots of young men who want to test their skills,” Jones said on Twitter when asking his followers who he should fight in his return this December.

“I agree, he did great, let’s see what his comeback looks like. Yeah let’s see, I definitely think he’s going to beat most the guys.”
