Jordan Burroughs picked up a dominant technical-fall win over Magomed Kurbanaliev at RAF Moscow, then used his post-match interview to call out UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev.
Burroughs controlled the match from the opening bell, scoring multiple takedowns en route to a 10-0 technical fall in under 90 seconds. The victory moved Burroughs to 2-0 in RAF after he also defeated UFC contender Sean Brady by technical fall in August.
âIslam, where are you? The only person I want to share the stage with is Islam. I came to your country, beat your champion, I want you,â Burroughs said.
Makhachev, fresh off defending his UFC welterweight title against Ian Machado Garry in August, quickly responded on social media.
âCongrats on your win legend. In the cage, anywhere anytime.â
Makhachevâs response indicated he would be willing to face Burroughs in MMA rather than in a wrestling match.
