Jorge Masvidal Makes Successful UFC Debut – April 20, 2012 (This Day In MMA History)
Nine years ago today, “Gamebred” made his way to the UFC.
Masvidal was successful in his UFC debut where he fought Tim Means and outlasted him for a unanimous decision victory after three rounds.
Today, despite being on a three-fight losing streak, Masvidal is one of the most recognized fighters of the promotion. He even went on to create Gamebred Fighting Championship, his promotion which hosts boxing and MMA bouts.
Masvidal was last in action on March 5 where he lost to former friend and teammate Colby Covington by unanimous decision.
He has, however, earned Performance of the Night four times and recorded the fastest knockout in UFC history at five seconds against Ben Askren.
