Josh Taylor Claims To No Longer Have Relationship With Daniel Kinahan

WBC, WBO, IBF junior welterweight champion Josh Taylor (19-0, 13 KOs) was one of many athletes that gave praise to alleged drug cartel leader Daniel Kinahan.

Two years ago, the Scottish athlete signed an agreement with MTK Global, a management company co-founded in 2012 by Kinahan.

At one point, MTK claimed that the Irish boxing promoter had parted ways with the management company. However, the Irish authorities were convinced that Kinahan was still one of the leading figures of the management company.

Kinahan has also worked as an advisor manager for some of the biggest fighters in history, such as Taylor, Billy Joe Saunders and WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, all of whom were being represented by MTK.

It was only last year when Taylor called him a great advisor who had done many great things for the sport.

However, things have changed ever since the US government issued $5 million for any information that can lead to Kinahan’s arrest.

“I haven’t got a relationship with Daniel anymore. MTK is no more, so everything is sort of out the window,” Taylor told BBC Scotland.

“I now manage myself, moving on with a lawyer doing all my contract and management work. Moving forward with Top Rank (his promoter), so yeah, that’s it,”
