Joshua Names His Future Targets

Anthony Joshua (29-4, 26 KOs) has outlined a list of potential opponents he believes could await him further down the line, with a rematch against Daniel Dubois (23-3, 22 KOs) and a fight vs Deontay Wilder among those he has identified.

Joshua’s immediate focus is his return on July 25 against Kristian Prenga in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia — his first fight of 2026. A bout with Tyson Fury remains the primary target by years’ end should he come through his warm-up fight victorious, with any of the names he mentioned likely to follow further down the line.

“Because I know if I stay around long enough, there’s the rematch with Daniel Dubois. There’s a potential Fabio Wardley fight. There’s the Agit Kabayel fight out there, providing he becomes champion, how big that would be. There’s an Itauma fight as he’s coming up the rankings, there’s still the Deontay Wilder fight out there,” Joshua

Dubois stopped Joshua in the ninth round of their IBF heavyweight title fight in September 2024, making a rematch one of the more compelling threads in the division. Kabayel currently sits as WBC mandatory challenger, while Fabio Wardley and Moses Itauma have both emerged as leading names in the British heavyweight landscape.
