Joshua Takes Aim At Wilder, Challenges Fury

It seems Anthony Joshua is ready for Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury, as the unified heavyweight champion takes aim at both via social media.

On his Twitter account Tuesday, Wilder would respond to a report that Wilder is ready to negotiate with Joshua for a showdown this April at Wembley Stadium. “What took this fool so long? Like we ain’t been interested,” claimed Joshua, who’s promoter Eddie Hearn flew out to California this week to negotiate with the WBC world champion’s camp.

“Anyway well done Fury! they wanted to get you because they assumed you was finished!! I’ll give you a fair one when your (sic) ready! Either one of you! “

Wilder and Joshua’s camps have been in very public negotiations for most of 2018, with both sides claiming the other refuse to make a deal or come to the table. At one point Wilder offered Joshua $50 million guaranteed via Showtime and PBC creator Al Haymon, to unify the titles on the condition he fights Wilder in the United States.

Now, Joshua looks to have Wilder come to the United Kingdom to face off at Wembley Stadium on April 13th, with Dereck Chisora and Dillian Whyte waiting in the wings depending on the result of their December 22nd showdown in London.
