Joshua To Be Ringside For Whyte-Chisora
Anthony Joshua decided to not cross the pond for December 1st’s WBC title clash between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, but now will head down the road to The O2 on December 22nd to watch Dillan Whyte and Dereck Chisora face off in London.
While Joshua has claimed his desire to face Wilder in April at Wembley Stadium, it is believed that the winner of the Whyte-Chisora rematch will get the b-side to Joshua’s return to the ring.
Joshua will be joined by fellow Matchroom fighters, Jarrell Miller, and undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, who is eyeing a move to heavyweight.
“If we get Wilder, who is our No 1 choice, fantastic. If we get Fury, who is our No 2 choice, brilliant. If we don’t get Wilder or Fury, the winner of December 22 is a must, you have to say the winner of Whyte-Chisora is the No 4 heavyweight in the world,” Hearn told Daily Mail
In their first fight, Whyte took a controversial split decision win over Chisora, as judges scored the victory for Whyte, but several saw the result the other way around.
