Joshua Vs. Fury Reportedly Signed

Anthony Joshua (29-4-0) vs. Tyson Fury (35-2-1) has reportedly been signed for November provided AJ gets past his next opponent Kristian Prenga (20-1-0) on July 25, 2026, in Saudi Arabia.

Joshua was ringside for Fury’s April 11 unanimous decision win over Arslanbek Makhmudov—his first fight since a 16-month retirement. Despite Fury calling out Joshua, AJ refused to get in the ring, saying he would fight Fury once he was ready.

Following his December 19, 2025, victory over Jake Paul, Joshua was involved in a fatal car accident on December 29 that took the lives of his two closest friends and training partners, Sina Ghami and Kevin Ayodele. Joshua spent the beginning of 2026 in a “consolidation and rebuilding” phase, recovering from both minor physical injuries and the psychological impact.

Now, Joshua will face the unranked 35-year-old Albanian Prenga, and although Prenga has a 20-1 record with all 20 of his wins coming by knockout, he has obviously not faced anyone near the level of Joshua. This is simply a warm up for Joshua to shake off ring rust and work on his timing before he heads into his long overdue clash with Fury. Meanwhile, Fury’s manager revealed that “The Gypsy King” is also targeting a tune-up bout this summer before facing Joshua.
