Joshua’s Return Edges Closer

Plans are in place for Anthony Joshua (29-4, 25 KOs) to compete twice in the second half of the year.

Joshua has been out of action since his sixth-round knockout of Jake Paul in December 2025. His career was halted by a car accident in Lagos, Nigeria, which claimed the lives of two of his closest friends, Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele.

After months of speculation regarding his mental state and potential retirement, Joshua has re-emerged in training alongside the team of Oleksandr Usyk. Eddie Hearn confirmed that talks are officially underway for a summer return, likely in London, to serve as the springboard for a massive end-of-year clash with Tyson Fury. The Saudis confirmed that two fights are being planned for AJ in 2026.
