Joyce Confident Ahead Of Hrgovic Fight

Joe Joyce is confident ahead of his heavyweight fight with Filip Hrgovic this weekend.

Joyce is eager to bounce back after his unanimous decision loss to Derek Chisora. With just one win in his last four fights, including two losses to Zhilei Zhang, Joyce has plenty to prove. Frank Warren believes the winner will move closer to a heavyweight title shot. Hrgovic is also looking for redemption following a stoppage defeat to Daniel Dubois. The loss cost him the IBF Interim Heavyweight Title, which would have secured him a world championship once Oleksandr Usyk vacated. The 39-year-old Joyce was confident coming into the fight, as he beat Hrgovic in the amateurs.

“It’s a good fight, good entertainment…It’s good to share the ring with Hrgovic again, we had a good scrap last time like 12 years ago. The same result is going to happen, I’m going to win, and then get elevated back up to the top of the sport,” Joyce said
