Judges And Referees Revealed For Shakur Stevenson-Oscar Valdez Fight
It feels like Shakur Stevenson (17-0-0) and Oscar Valdez (30-0, 23 KOs) are ready for their fight on Saturday and so are the ones that would score their fight. We have two judges under consideration that are familiar with them.
According to Boxing Scene, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has given responsibilities to Nevada judges Tim Cheatham and Dave Moretti and Oklahoma’s David Sutherland regarding this fight.
Both judges will be told to work the 12-round, 130-pound title unification fight in Las Vegas, USA. Nevada’s Kenny Bayless is given the responsibility to be the referee of this encounter.
Moretti has become a huge source of good luck for Stevenson as he has scored four of his past five fights.
On the other hand, Moretti has also scored Valdez’s last four bouts. Cheatham has scored one fight each for both of these fighters since June 2019.
Sutherland is yet to score any fights with either Stevenson or Valdez.
In Moretti’s most recent score, Stevenson emerged victoriously. The 24-year-old secured a 120-107 win over Jeremiah Nakathila on June 12 last year.
Stevenson emerged victorious on each of the 12 rounds that night before dropping Namibia’s Nakathila in the fourth round.
