Judo Legend Tadahiro Nomura Retires

Judo icon Tadahiro Nomura has announced his retirement from the sport. The three-time Olympic champion told the press that his body has finally given in after years of high-level competition. 

The 40-year-old Nomura said the condition of his surgically repaired knees and right shoulder has worsened. 

“I began to feel my physical limit,” the 40-year-old Nomura said at a news conference. “I’ve done everything I can. I have no regrets.”

Nomura said that he will now try to launch a career in coaching.
