Julianna Pena, Amanda Nunes Will Do ‘Whatever It Takes’ To Win At UFC 277
Julianna Pena is going to do whatever it takes to keep her title.
Even if it’s against Amanda Nunes for the second time. The two will meet again at UFC 277 on Saturday in Dallas, Texas. Pena won the belt from Nunes seven months prior, and she has no plans of giving it back soon.
“I’m going to punch, kick, pull her hair. I’m going to bite her. I’m going to gouge her eyeballs out, if I have to,” Pena said at Thursday’s press conference.
“I’m literally going to do everything in there. Trust me when I say that I’m willing to die and do whatever it takes. I’m going to do whatever it takes.”
Nunes, who is considered one of the best female MMA fighters of all time, only has one goal Saturday night: redemption.
She lost for the first time in eight years when she was submitted by underdog Pena.
“She can say whatever she wants. We’re here, and Saturday I’m going to be 100 percent, and I’m going to beat her,” Nunes said.
“Saturday is my opportunity to get my belt back. I’m going to be the double champion again Saturday.”
