Julianna Pena Calls For Trilogy Vs. Amanda Nunes
Julianna Pena wants another chance.
The recently dethroned bantamweight champion said her and two-time champion Amanda Nunes are even now. The only way to really settle the score is in a trilogy fight.
“Tougher than a two dollar steak
“Thanks for the love everyone! Just a cat scratch that required a few stitches, no chunks missing, no surgery necessary. Love you all! We’re 1-1 now #peopleschamp#trilogy#penavsnunes3#lfg Best compliment of the day from my boy @mikemav22 ,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

Her update on her injury follows UFC President Dana White’s comments after UFC 277, where he said Pena was missing a “chunk” of her forehead and is going to see a plastic surgeon to assess the damages.
But, in Pena’s Instagram post, she seemed to have shrugged it off.
The shoutout at the end of her post is addressed to longtime teammate and friend Michael Chiesa. Chiesa was one of Pena’s biggest supporters when she upset Nunes in December for the UFC gold.
Pena suffered her first loss since October 2020 to Germaine de Randamie.
On the other hand, Nunes regained her champ-champ status by edging Pena to a lopsided victory. Nunes is now the bantamweight and featherweight titleholder once more.
