Julianna Peña Wants To Pull Ronda Rousey Out Of Retirement

Julianna Peña already did something that seemed impossible.

Peña stopped the No. 1 ranked pound for pound female fighter, Amanda Nunes, and dethroned her in the bantamweight division.

Now, she has lots of options. She can fight against Valentina Shevchenko and defend her belt, rematch with Amanda Nunes, or one more option.

“It would be amazing to pull Ronda Rousey back out of retirement,” Peña told the New York Post.

“It would be great to have her come back to UFC and fight again.”

Just to build her case more, Peña brought up her and Rousey’s time together on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) in 2013.

“I don’t know that she’ll recall this because [I] ended up taking out her entire team,” Pena added.

“But when [I] won ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ and got out of the house, she told me that, ‘You’re gonna give me a tougher fight than Miesha Tate, but when that day comes I’m still gonna kick your a–.'”

But Rousey is retired and now seems to be focusing on her family life with her husband, Travis Browne. The pair just delivered their first child in September of 2021.
