Julio Ceja Will Receive Treatment In Mexico Following KO Loss To Mark Magsayo
On Saturday night, Julio Ceja was knocked out cold by Mark Magsayo. Ceja laid motionless in the ring for a few moments, but was able to slowly get back up.
Ceja, of Mexico, was released from a local hospital Sunday and will now travel home to receive treatment. Magsayo, who defeated him in the Manny Pacquiao-Yordenis Ugas undercard – said he’s been checking in on him.

Ceja (32-5, 28 KOs) is a former two-weight world title challenger. His defeat on Saturday marked his fifth career loss due to a two-punch knockout during Round 10.
The Mexican boxer was sent to a hospital after the fight and stayed overnight for safety precautions. He will be treated for an orbital fracture.
“Have just spoken with Duane Ford who supervised last night event and has been in close contact with Bob Bennett about Julio Ceja and the report is favourable as there is no brain bleed but an orbital fracture. The medical attention is top of the top. Exemplary performance by NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Commission),” WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said on Twitter.
