Julio Cesar Chavez vs. Hector Camacho Jr. Set For Exhibition Clash

In an event dubbed, “Tribute to The Kings,” boxing legend Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. will share the ring with Hector Camacho Jr. in an exhibition match.

The event will take place inside Jalisco Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico on June 19. Also featured on the card will be Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Omar Chavez. Cesar Chavez Jr.’s opponent has yet to be announced. Omar will be going one-on-one with Ramon Alvarez.

Borizteca Boxing and Toscano Promotions will be promoting Tribute To The Kings. Global Sports Streaming is on production duties.

Chavez Sr. was last seen in action back in September. He had an exhibition match with Jorge Arce. As for Camacho, his last bout took place back in May 2019. He defeated Victor Abreu via knockout.

Chavez Jr. last fought back in November. He earned a fourth-round TKO victory over Jeyson Minda. It was a rebound victory for Chavez Jr., who was coming off a technical decision loss to Mario Abel Cazares.

In his last outing back in June 2019, Omar was beaten by Oziel Santoyo via unanimous decision. Omar is hoping to get his first victory since April 2019. Omar has fought Alvarez twice. The score is even with Alvarez getting a unanimous decision win in their first encounter and Omar nabbing the second-round TKO finish in the rematch.
