Jung vs. Lamas Scrapped from UFC 214
An anticipated bout between "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung and Ricardo Lamas, scheduled for July 29 at UFC 214 in Anaheim, California, is now off.
MMA analyst Robin Black first reported the news on Friday, with the injury unknown at the time. MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani later confirmed that it is injury that has forced Jung to the sidelines.

Lamas, for now, will remain on the UFC 214 pay-per-view card with a replacement opponent to be announced.
This is the second time a bout between Jung and Lamas has been called off. The two were scheduled to meet at UFC 162 back in July 2013, but Jung was pulled from that fight and moved up to the card’s main event, where he replaced an injured Anthony Pettis in challenging Jose Aldo for the UFC featherweight title. Aldo won that bout via TKO in the fourth round.
Jung last competed in February, his first fight back after serving a mandatory two-year military service for his native South Korea. He defeated Dennis Bermudez via first-round KO.
Lamas has won three of his last five bouts, two of those wins coming by submission.
