Justin Gaethje Knocks Out Donald Cerrone Less Than Two Minutes Into Round 1 – September 14, 2019 (This Day In MMA History)

Along the road to the UFC lightweight title, Justin Gaethje took Donald Cerrone out from his obstacles.

Gaethje (22-3) finished Cerrone (36-16) with a knockout in the first round of the UFC Fight Night headlining event.

Gaethje would go on to win against Tony Ferguson for the lightweight strap, but would later lose it to Khabib Nurmagomedov just a few months later.

Gaethje is set for his next fight against Michael Chandler to get back into the winning column.

Cerrone has not fought since May and is currently on a five-fight losing streak.
