Kauppinen Stuns Italy Crowd, KOs Sakara At Bellator 211
It did not take long for Kent Kauppinen to silence the Italian crowd at RDS Stadium in Genova in the main event of Bellator 211.
Kauppinen faced off with Italy’s own Alessio Sakara. While not much action happened in the first minute, it took just a single, overhand left punch to drop Sakara, forcing referee Dan Miragliotta to step in.

In the co-main event, kickboxer Hesdy Gerges made his professional MMA debut — but it would be unsuccessful, as he was finished by Domingos Barros. Barros got a takedown in after about a minute and did not leave top position. While he failed a kimura attempt, Barros managed to get into mount and land ground-and-pound until the referee stepped in.
