Kayla Harrison Doesn’t Think Julianna Pena Gets Paid What She Should

Kayla Harrison said she’s willing to help Julianna Pena.

Harrison, who is undefeated in all 12 of his pro fights, admitted that she’s willing to show Pena to ways of the business.

“This is the stuff I hate. I encourage Julianna to really understand the business, and how contracts work especially for her sake because I don’t think she gets paid what probably she should get paid,” she told Morning Kombat.

“I encourage her to reach out. She can ask me for help if she needs it on how to get your worth and not sign seven-year contracts and not sign your life away to a promotion,” she added.

“I have nothing but respect for her.”

Pena had criticized Harrison for the level of competition she’s faced so far. The American recently pulled off a major upset against Amanda Nunes and became the new bantamweight champion.

Pena is likely to hold a rematch with Nunes. In their first fight, Pena handed Nunes a second-round submission loss at UFC 269.

Harrison, meanwhile, will fight against Marina Mokhnatkina on May 6, and will try to add another finish to her resume.
