Kayla Harrison Eyes Fight With Cris Cyborg – ‘Would Love To Make That Fight’
PFL lightweight champion Kayla Harrison made it clear that she was open to the idea of fighting Cris Cyborg.
Harrison was presented with a profitable contract by Bellator when she was a free agent at the beginning of last year, paving the way for a potential fight with Cyborg.
However, PFL was able to match it as she remained with the organisation. But with Harrison’s PFL contract ending soon, she has suggested that she wants that lucrative fight.
“I know the goal was for me to fight Cyborg, I know the PFL has pushed it as well. I wanted to do the season format but they felt my best use would be in a big-name fight, pay-per-view fight. It looks like that’s not gonna happen.
“I was a little bummed when she re-signed because I really thought it was gonna happen. My contract is up in December. Bellator knows where I’m at, and I would love to make that fight happen,” Harrison
Her upcoming status as a free agent will be vital for securing such a bout. After all, Harrison has not competed since her defeat to Larissa Pacheco in the PFL.
With that being said, there could be some major fights on the horizon for Harrison.
