Kayla Harrison Open To Fighting Julia Budd in PFL In Future

Kayla Harrison is ready to meet Julia Budd in the ring if their fate ever meets.

The former Bellator women’s featherweight champion, Julia Budd, is the latest acquisition made by the PFL to their growing women’s fighter’s roster.

In response to this signing, the reigning PFL lightweight champ, Harrison, acknowledged PFL’s effort for being proactive and racking up a big name when the opportunity was presented to them.

“That’s great for the PFL. I think it’s awesome they’re continuing to build their women’s division, and she’s obviously a Bellator champion, former champion, and it’s a great signing,” Harrison said.

Budd is scheduled to make her debut in the organization against Kaitlin Young at the 2021 PFL Championship on October 27.

On the same event, Harrison will attempt to win her second consecutive women’s lightweight title when she will face Taylor Guardado in the night’s main event.

Harrison has so far dominated every single fighter who ever has crossed her path.

With Budd being assertive and commanding in the ring, she can really make Harrison a run for her money. But it’s not certain that the two will ever clash in the PFL ring as Harrison’s contract with the organization will soon end after this year’s PFL season.

“I think I’ve watched her fight before, of course. She’s a bit of a bigger name in the sport, but I didn’t know they signed her. I’m not privy to these conversations. I’ve said it many times, I’ll fight whoever is in front of me, I don’t really care,” Harrison added.
