Kayla Harrison Returns Friday Vs. Marina Mokhnatkina
Fight fans are just days away from seeing Kayla Harrison in action again.
Harrison (12-0) looks for her third consecutive PFL championship when she heads into Friday night’s lightweight main event against Marina Mokhnatkina (6-2).
In Harrison’s last outing in October, she submitted Taylor Guardado in the second round, marking her second straight PFL championship and $1 million. She is 4-0 in PFL with wins over Genah Fabian, Cindy Dandois and Mariana Morais – all by either KO/TKO or submission.
Her victory in October also marked the end of her PFL contract. She shopped around at Bellator and UFC; Bellator reportedly offering a hefty contract.
Bellator champion Cris Cyborg and former champion Miesha Tate called Harrison out from their respective promotions, but Harrison ultimately ended up back at PFL, a decision she made in March.
Mokhnatkina, meanwhile, is a six-time combat sambo world champion.
She made her debut in PFL in August where she outpointed Claudia Zamora. Some argue that she did not show enough to poise threat to Harrison.
The card will also feature Ray Cooper III, Rory MacDoald and Anthony Pettis.
