Kell Brook Confirms Comeback

Kell Brook (40-3, 28 KOs) confirmed on Sunday that he is coming out of retirement to return to boxing one more time.

Brook won the IBF welterweight championship in 2014 with a majority decision win over Shawn Porter. He defended the world title three times before challenging Gennadiy Golovkin unsuccessfully for the unified middleweight championship, losing by fifth-round knockout. He also lost by knockout to Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford but finished his career with a win when he stopped Amir Khan in 2022.

Any comeback, he said, would take place later in 2026 — meaning he’ll have been out of the ring for at least four and a half years.

“I’m coming back … It’ll happen this year, it’s about done. And we will be giving the fans another massive fight. I’ll return at middleweight or super-middleweight, around them divisions.”

Brook has been linked with a bout against fellow British boxer Chris Eubank Jr.
