Kell Brook Insists He Didn’t Take Terence Crawford Fight Just For A Payday
Kell Brook is tired of hearing people say that he’s only fighting Terence Crawford for one last payday.
Brook is a former IBF Welterweight Champion and has shared the ring with elite boxers. Brook has fought the likes of Gennady Golovkin, Errol Spence Jr., and Shawn Porter. Crawford, who is number one on the pound-for-pound list for many pundits and fans, is another top tier name that will soon be added to the list.
At the age of 34, Brook isn’t exactly ancient in the sport of boxing. In fact, he’s just one year older than Crawford. Many believe that Brook had a lot of fight taken out of him when Golovkin damaged his eye socket back in 2016. The same injury reared its ugly head in the Spence fight. Those are Brook’s only losses.
Speaking to iFL TV, Brook made it clear that he doesn’t appreciate the theories that he’s going to phone it in against Crawford (via Michael Benson).
Kell Brook: "Everyone's going on about me 'cashing out'. I'm gonna be two-time world champion… I'm not gonna go in there, say I've been hit low and look for a way out… He's never boxed anything of my size and my determination. I'm going in there to dethrone this man." [@IFLTV]

Brook is riding a three-fight winning streak. In that span, he’s beaten Sergey Rabchenko, Michael Zerafa, and Mark DeLuca.
Crawford is unbeaten thus far in his pro boxing career. His record is a perfect 36-0. He is the WBO Welterweight Champion and his title will be on the line against Brook. Crawford vs. Brook will take place on November 14.
