Kell Brook: Terence Crawford Will Get A Rude Awakening
Kell Brook has a big upset win on his mind.
Brook will challenge Terence Crawford for the WBO Welterweight Championship this Saturday night, November 14. Brook vs. Crawford will headline a Top Rank Boxing card on the major ESPN network. The action will be held inside an empty MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Going into the fight, Brook is a +550 underdog according to BetMGM. Still, Brook’s confidence doesn’t appear to have wavered. Speaking to Sky Sports, Brooks said that Crawford will be in for quite a shock come fight night.
“He will get a rude awakening on Saturday. He’ll know really fast that he shouldn’t have put me on top of his list. I can box orthodox, southpaw, I have balance and timing, I’m a big welterweight. I’m a scary fighter, I’m dangerous for any fighter in any weight division. You will see me, from round one, take control of this fight.”
Brook is riding a three-fight winning streak. He hasn’t suffered a loss since May 27, 2017. Brook lost the IBF Welterweight Title to Errol Spence Jr. that night via 11th-round knockout.
Crawford hasn’t lost a pro boxing match up to this point. His record is perfect at 36-0. He has scored 27 knockouts along the way. This will be Crawford’s fourth WBO Welterweight Title defense.
