Kelleher To Get Quick Turnaround Bout Against Stamann At UFC 250

After two weeks away from the cage, a fresh Brian Kelleher is looking to increase his momentum. The 33-year-old will be fighting Cody Stamann at UFC 250 on June 6. MMA Junkie confirmed the report of the fight following the initial announcement via

Kelleher is coming off of a UFC on ESPN+ 29 win against Hunter Aure on May 13. It was a second-round knockout shot that dropped Azure to the floor. Kelleher is on a two-fight win streak, both wins coming in 2020. After not fighting since December 2018, Kelleher returned to action at UFC 246 in January, submitting Ode Osbourne.

Stamann (18-2-1), ranked 12th in the UFC’s bantamweight rankings, is coming off of a majority decision draw against Song Yadong back in December. He is 1-1-1 in his last three, his last win coming against Alejandro Perez at UFC 235 in March 2019. The 30-year-old was supposed to face Raoni Barcelos back in March, but the fight was postponed due to the coronavirus.

The bout will be a featherweight matchup, compared to when the two normally fight at bantamweight.
