Kelvin Gastelum Vs. Nassourdine Imavov In Works For UFC 273

The new blood of the UFC, Nassourdine Imavov, will fight against former title challenger and veteran fighter Kelvin Gastelum.

Imavov (11-3) will reportedly take on Gastelum (17-8) at UFC 273 on April 9. The booking has yet to be officially announced, but a person with knowledge of the bout confirmed it.

Imavov is one of the most valuable members of the MMA Factory. He is training with current UFC interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane.

Imavov held four battles inside the octagon and raised his hand in victory three times.

In 2021, he fought three times and earned two victories. His last two battles were against Ian Heinisch and Edmen Shahbazyan. In both battles, he earned TKO victories in the second round.

Gastelum is recognized as an amazing fighter, but has had a bad record in his previous battles.

In his last six appearances, he earned only one victory against Ian Heinisch. He suffered losses against the division’s top fighters like Robert Whittaker, Jared Cannonier, Jack Hermansson, Darren Till and division champion Israel Adesanya.

Imavov is not at the same level as Gastelum’s previous rivals, but he has a massive opportunity to earn it.
