Kerman Lejarraga Vs. Dylan Charrat Scheduled For September 11
Palau Olímpic Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona is set to host Kerman Lejarraga versus Dylan Charrat on September 11 as Matchroom Boxing returns to action in Spain.
Both boxers will lock horns for the vacant super welterweight title. The fight will air live on DAZN.
Lejarraga (32-2, 25 KOs) won via TKO over Jez Smith in his last fight in April. The Bilbao-native and the Brit were touted to have been involved in a Fight of the Year contender fight. The former European Welterweight champ went on to win the fight in the sixth round. He knocked Smith out after surviving knockdowns in the third and fourth rounds.
Against France’s Charrat (20-0-1, 6 KOs), Lejarraga will have a chance to become a two-weight European Champion. The Spaniard won the 147-pound crown against Bradley Skeete in 2018 and is eager to don the world title strap at 154 pounds against the Frenchman in September.
The second title fight features Murcia’s Mary Romero (6-2, 1 KO) and Southam’s Amy Timlin (4-0-1).
The title fight will be a tough venture for Timlin since she has never fought on foreign soil off since a competitive draw with Carly Skelly for the Commonwealth Title.
Also, super lightweight champion Sandor Martin and former IBF super bantamweight world titleholder Kiko Martinez will return to action on the same card.
