Kevin Holland Returns To Octagon Vs. Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson In Main Event

Kevin Holland is out of retirement.

Holland’s alleged retirement didn’t last long as he’s scheduled to fight with Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. It will be the main event in the welterweight division, of UFC Orlando, on December 3.

Holland announced his retirement on Instagram after his last loss against Khamzat Chimaev. Chimaev was scheduled to headline UFC 279 with Nate Diaz, but he missed weight by 7.5 pounds.

Holland was the replacement opponent as the bout went forward at a catchweight. Holland lost by first-round submission. The loss snapped his two-fight winning streak.

Thompson is on a two-fight losing streak.

He was defeated by Gilbert Burns in the summer of 2021 and suffered another loss against Belal Muhammad around a year ago. Thompson held his latest battle in December of 2021.
