Keyshawn Davis (15-0, 10 KOs) defeated Nahir Albright (17-3-1, 7 KOs) in their 140-pound clash by unanimous decision at the Scope Arena in Norfolk: 118-108, 118-108 and 117-109.
The pair had previously met in October 2023, with Davis initially awarded a majority decision before the result was overturned due to his failed marijuna test. There was no controversy this time, though the fight was far from straightforward. Davis controlled the early rounds with jabs before beginning to land power shots in the third and fourth.
Albright pushed back in the fifth, catching Davis with a sharp right hand that buckled him. The fight grew scrappy through the middle rounds, with Davis picking up a two-point deduction in the seventh after lifting Albright during a clinch and dumping him to the canvas. Davis recovered his composure in the ninth, driving home right hands in search of a stoppage. Albright refused to go down and heard the final bell. Keyshawn has said he is moving up to 147 to target Devin Haney for his WBO welterweight title.
