Khabib Nurmagomedov Under Investigation For Unpaid Taxes

Khabib Nurmagomedov is allegedly under investigation for not paying all of his business taxes.

The former UFC Lightweight Champion is one of the greatest fighters ever. He retired undefeated with a 29-0 MMA record. His career included big wins against Justin Gaethje, Conor McGregor, and Dustin Poirier. He retired at his peak, promising his mother never to fight again following the passing of his father.

“Today, I want to say, it was my last fight and [there’s] no way I’m gonna come here without my father [Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov]… After what happened with my father, when UFC called me about Justin [Gaethje], I talk with my mother [for] three days. She don’t know how I go fight without father but I promise her, it’s gonna be my last fight and if I give my word, I have to follow this,” Nurmagomedov said

His career secured his financial future, with Khabib having become a multi-millionaire. However, his tax affairs have reportedly not been in order. According to Mash.ru and RT, Khabib has underpaid his taxes by 300 million rubles, which is $3 million. It is alleged the authorities found inconsistencies in the paperwork for his taxes, resulting in the government freezing some of his accounts. And yet, Khabib’s team has denied this.
