Khamzat Chimaev Said If He Kills Everybody, He’ll Get A Title Shot

Khamzat Chimaev is back.

After a year-long break, Chimaev will be back inside the octagon and face Li Jingliang at UFC 267. The 27-year-old said he plans to “smash” everybody in the welterweight and middleweight division.

When he was asked if he had any plan before the fight, he had one answer.

“If I kill everybody, they have to give me a title shot,” he said. “I’m gonna kill this guy and take the belt, doesn’t matter who [has] it. We’ll see.”

After having some noisy debut fights in the UFC, Chimaev suffered some complications related to Covid-19. He hardly recovered from the issues, but is now able to fight.

He was also straddling retirement, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

Chimaev is coming off a win against Gerald Meerschaert via KO/TKO just 17 seconds into the first round.
UFC 267 takes place in Abu Dhabi where Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira will battle in the headliner.
