Khan, Brook In Talks for UK Superfight
Two of the popular fighters in the United Kingdom are in talks for a super-fight to happen in 2017. Amir Khan and Kell Brook have been exchanging trash talk on social media, but it appears that there have been actual negotiations to set up a bout for May of next year.
Brook’s promoter Eddie Hearn told BBC Sport that the fight is likely to happen.
"Amir wants it to happen, so does Kell," Hearn said. "We want to put a fight on for the fans."
Khan (31-4) threw a shot at Brook on Twitter on Tuesday, posting a picture of himself and middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin. "The 1st man to smash Kell Brook’s face @GGGBoxing, standing with him is the next guy to smash Kelly brooks face!"
GGG stopped Brook in the fifth round in September, shattering Brook’s orbital bone and forcing his corner to throw in the towel.

Brook (36-1) was quick to respond to Khan’s taunts, referring to his British rival’s own brutal 2016 defeat:
Glad you’ve woken up from your last KO, I believe our teams are talking I look forward to sending you back to sleep #QueenKardashion??????

In May, Khan moved up to junior-middleweight to face Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez. Canelo knocked him out viciously in the sixth round.
